Julian and William Gilbey have been collaborating since they were teenagers and first worked with Toby Richards on the hugely successful “Rise of the Footsoldier”. Since then Toby and William collaborated on the controversial “Father’s Day”. The products resulting from these collaborations have been consistently excellent in quality as well as being commercially viable.

Award winning producer known for his business success Toby has worked behind the scenes on many well known projects.
He has worked as an executive producer on the hugely popular “Rise of the Footsoldier” and the comedy horror “Doghouse”, starring Danny Dyer, Stephen Graham and BAFTA winner Noel Clark.Early in 2009 Toby produced William Gilbey’s “Father’s Day” which stars Kevin R. McNally, (“Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Valkyrie”). The film has won multiple awards including three awards at the Los Angeles Reel Film Festival, Best Producer award for Toby at the British Independent Film Festival.

The Honourable Michael Gilbey, Non-Executive Chairman

Hon. Michael Christopher Gilbey has an MA from St Andrews University and is registered as a Professional Associate, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (A.R.I.C.S.). In addition to his extensive property portfolio, Michael is also involved in the world of wine importing.
Michael owns two successful and highly acclaimed restaurants and an award-winning English vineyard under the Gilbey Group umbrella. Profits from the vineyard are invested back into the local community by way of substantial charitable donations.
Being Julian and William’s father, Michael has observed and encouraged the creative growth of his sons and is proud to continue this support as part of Eigerwand Media.

In 1998, BAFTA nominee Julian Gilbey started work on his first feature, ‘Reckoning Day’ which upon completion sold throughout Japan and has since obtained cult status.
His second feature “Rollin with the Nines” earned him a nomination for the Carl Foreman Award for Special Achievement by a British Director at the prestigious BAFTA awards and also won Best UK Feature at the Raindance Film Festival.
Julian’s latest release “Rise of the Footsoldier” starring Craig Fairbrass and Kierston Waering has become one of the biggest selling DVD’s in the history of British independent film.

William Gilbey, Company Director

Will made his first feature “Reckoning Day” with his brother and collaborator, Julian.
Will then went on to co-write, edit and direct the second unit on the BAFTA nominated film “Rollin' with the Nines”. “Rollin” won the Best Film Jury Prize at the Raindance Film Festival in 2005.
Their next film was the British gangster thriller “Rise of the Footsoldier” which achieved huge commercial success both domestically and worldwide.
Working independently, William directed the multi-award winning film “Father’s Day” which earned him nominations for Best Director and Best Editor at the Los Angeles Reel Film Festival.

Simon Oliver, Non-Executive Director

Simon Oliver founded his own foods business in 1976 after many years’ experience in the dairy industry at Unigate.
In 1984 he formed Mendip Foods Limited in which his own company had a major stake. As Chairman and Chief Executive, he grew this into a £135 million turnover company, before selling his stake to Dairy Crest in 1995. He was appointed a Non-Executive Director of Dairy Crest in 1997, became Chairman in 2000, retiring at the end of 2009, and is now President of the company.
In addition, in 1992 Simon Chaired the MBO from Grand Metropolitan of The Cheese Company (formerly Express Foods), which was successfully sold in 1995.
He is a Non-Executive Director of several companies and in 1997 became Chairman of the venture capital company Pi Capital Limited. He is also a Director of Naxos UK and an investor in a number of private businesses. He is a trustee of the IDEALS charity and farms 700 acres of cereals in Cornwall.
